AWW REPORT WEDNESDAY 27 FEBRUARY 2019 : RIBBA E SERRA WILDERNESS

AWW REPORT WEDNESDAY 27 FEBRUARY 2019
RIBBA E SERRA WILDERNESS
Meeting point Café at Rasmalho 9.45am             22 walkers and 1 dog
Sue, Martin, David, David, Kersten, Stephanie, John, Jim, Scott, Sarah, Sue, Kim,
Trish, Linda, Alan, Ros, John, Isabel, Geoff, Hazel, Russell and John.
(Jasper the dog in hiding).
We all headed off at 9.53am after a short car share to the start point at
Ribba A Serra.
Did you notice how we all dressed multicoloured to blend in with the countryside!!!!!
Obviously, the water crossings were not challenging enough as no one fell in,
even though Geoff was poised with his camera.
The lady’s toilet just ahead.  It was well used.

After all the trouble of digging up, wrapping up, we hope the plant takes in your
garden Hazel!!!

The donkeys and colourful garden caught the attention of us all.
Up and down the walk continues on the roller coaster of hills.
Could this be the new AWW footwear or is it just an Irish eccentricity.  SLIPPERS!!!!
Some took the low road to the finish line.
The others took the high road.

Russell found his “stairway to heaven” and all the guys joined him.

We covered 17kms in 4hours 30minutes with an average pace of 4.3kms per
hour and maximum elevation of 617 metres.
Thank you for the stats and photos from John H and John D.
Also thank you to everyone who joined us on this lovely Spring Walk.
Linda and Russell
